TRAINING CAMP SUPPORT

TRAINING CAMP SUPPORT

TRAINING CAMP SUPPORT

Dedicated, practical support for intensive training environments — built around the rhythm of camp.

WHY DEDICATED SUPPORT MATTERS ON CAMP

CATCHING NIGGLES BEFORE THEY BECOME BOAT STOPPERS.

Training camps concentrate a lot of work into a short space of time. Increased training volume, consecutive sessions, travel and reduced recovery all add to the demands placed on athletes.

Having dedicated support on site means emerging pain, niggles and recovery issues can be picked up early and managed appropriately — before they start costing sessions, affecting performance or potentially taking an athlete out of the boat.

A DAY ON CAMP

SUPPORT THAT MOVES WITH THE TRAINING DAY.

Camp support isn’t a block of treatment appointments. It moves around the training programme, giving athletes and coaches access to support when it is actually useful.

01

PRE-SESSION

Athlete check-ins • emerging niggles • warm-up support • mobility • taping where appropriate

02

BETWEEN SESSIONS

MSK assessment within professional scope • soft tissue treatment • recovery support • monitoring symptoms

03

BACK INTO TRAINING

Athlete monitoring • responding to emerging problems • communication with coaches and existing medical/performance staff

04

RECOVER + RESET

Recovery support • treatment where appropriate • reassessment • liaison with coaches and performance staff • planning for the following training day

PLUS, THROUGHOUT CAMP:

First-aid support within current qualification and scope • appropriate referral when required

MORE THAN TREATMENT

SUPPORT ACROSS THE TRAINING DAY.

Support can sit around the rhythm of the training day — from warm-up and water sessions through to recovery, treatment and the small practical jobs that keep camp moving.

BUILT AROUND THE CAMP

DIFFERENT CAMP. DIFFERENT DEMANDS.

DIFFERENT CAMP. DIFFERENT DEMANDS.

A weekend club camp needs something very different from a week of high-volume training. Support can be shaped around the number of athletes, training schedule, location and level of cover required.

01

CLUB & UNIVERSITY SQUADS

Support across multi-session training days, including athlete check-ins, treatment, recovery and coach liaison.

02

PERFORMANCE PROGRAMMES

Additional hands-on support during periods of concentrated training, working alongside existing coaching, medical and performance teams where appropriate.

03

SMALL GROUPS & CREWS

Flexible support for smaller camps where access to assessment, treatment and recovery support can help keep athletes training.

04

JUNIOR & DEVELOPMENT SQUADS

Practical support across intensive training days, with clear communication between athletes, coaches and existing support staff.

REGATTA & COMPETITION SUPPORT

SUPPORT THAT TRAVELS WITH THE SQUAD.

SUPPORT THAT TRAVELS WITH THE SQUAD.

Dedicated athlete support can travel with a crew or squad into competition — from domestic regattas and multi-day events to overseas racing.

Support can be shaped around the competition schedule, including pre-race preparation, taping, treatment and MSK assessment within professional scope, recovery between rounds, first aid, athlete monitoring and liaison with coaches and existing medical or performance staff.

FLEXIBLE CAMP SUPPORT

BUILT AROUND YOUR TRAINING. NOT A CLINIC DIARY.

BUILT AROUND YOUR TRAINING. NOT A CLINIC DIARY.

Every camp is different. Support is built around the training programme, athletes and coaching team — whether that means targeted cover around key sessions or a dedicated presence across consecutive training days.

The aim isn’t to fill a clinic diary. It’s to have support available where it adds value: before sessions, between sessions, during recovery and when problems emerge.

MAKING CAMP SUPPORT AFFORDABLE

A SHARED CLUB + ATHLETE MODEL.

Dedicated support doesn’t necessarily need to come entirely from the club budget. The cost can be incorporated into the overall camp fee, allowing the club and attending athletes to share the cost.

For larger squads, even a relatively small contribution per athlete can make dedicated support across a training camp considerably more achievable.

EXAMPLE: 5-DAY TRAINING CAMP

CLUB CONTRIBUTION

An agreed contribution towards dedicated camp support.

ATHLETE CONTRIBUTION

The remaining cost can be shared across attending athletes as part of the overall camp fee.

DEDICATED SUPPORT

ACROSS THE CAMP

Packages can be shaped around squad size, camp duration and the level of cover required.
